comment character limit for ascii art

trying to write a comment with pretty vault boy face smiling ang giving happiness to everyone
but steam is saying its to large for valve to handle, and im limited to 1000 characters

however checking character count in ms word gave me this result...

so can someone explain to me why is this happening and how to fix it

still cant comment with it in my friends profile

Maybe the friends profile has a smaller limit? (and maybe no one wants a huge face on there profile comments :S

I believe they limited the use of ASCII art on the community pages since, as usual, people were not using it to just show smiles.
