Can I trade (TF2 items) without having bought a game?

Every time I try to trade, I have no avaible items to trade (except Dueling In-Game). I'm sure I have items to trade, but they are just not avaible. How come? Can someone give me advice? And if its because I haven't bought a game, what is the exception for dueling in-game?

you are free to play so you can't trade what you find.
you dont need to buy a game.
you can buy any item in the manco store to make your tf2 premium.

or find anothe rway to trade for a premium gift.

if he has no paid items though in his account at all (as in all he has are F2P games) doesn't that disable trading all together though?

there is steam trade and there is the tf2 trade.

items he found he can not trade as free to play but I dont see any reason why steam trade should be restricted.

steam trade is restricted without a paid item within the last year? or is it 2 years?

doesn't work that way, you need a paid item on YOUR steam meaning someone buys you a game for the steam trading, buying something in TF2 i believe unlocks that as well, but here's the thing... they can't buy just any old item for TF2 trading, they would have to buy for 5 dollars the upgrade to premium...

... but... you can't trade, you need to listen to me, unless you get some form of paid item your trading is limited to ONLY tf2 and only specific items in TF2.
