Why is my Steam profile in a different language???
Whenever I log onto mine or someone else's profile on the internet it shows up in some sort of Scandanavian language(i think). Why is this happening, and do other people have this problem?

sometimes when one come to Steam form Google they have a link with a language changer.. that can do that maybe

You would think the profile would show in the language it was created in. If you veiwed a Russian profile you think it would be in Russian. My profile is American, and i've veiwed others from Great Britain and they all show up as Scandanavian. Weird.

Wait you mean the inside of the profile? or just the top and stuff like that?

The whole thing, and because I can't understand it, I don't see anywhere to change language. It happens on You Tube when I watch SFM videos and I want to see the creators profile. The message board is usually English.

really ood.. any way click your user name on the top right hover to the 3rd that need ot be langrage then select your language see if that helps?

Yes, I do not know what is up with it, I mean I am Irish, but nothing shows up Irish, It's all just American.

Mine has changed to German a couple times. I'm not sure why it happens. It was pretty easy to change my language preference back though

If i go directly to steam in the browser, it comes up with a different language for me almost every time.

@Black Blade, thank you this happened to me, saved me loads of time searching for the language and translating every menu selection
