Report a translation problem
the best alternative is using the augmented steam extension on a browser and replacing the "install steam" button with the "view in client" button
so when i want to open a random steam/community link on the client,i use the browser for it
It still does work, but you need to use the following format:
open steam://openurl/<url>
So for example:
open steam://openurl/https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/5330625727559694891/
But at that stage you could also simply use Win+R and paste the exact same URL there. (If you use Windows that is.)
