Much as I'm unbiased as I've already said I play a whole load of platforms, your point about mice being less precise is wrong, I'm afraid.
Mice ARE more precise than controllers, simply because of the basic physics - you can physically move to PRECISELY where you want the cursor to go at any speed your hand is capable of doing. I think you are confused somehow about recentering reticules - there are VERY, VERY few games where the targeting reticule recenters. FPSes commonly don't do it, so I don't know where you've got that idea from.
A controller only has analogue stick of digital buttons, which move the cursor/reticule at a pre-determined speed ONLY.
Your claim that one would be "readjusting" the mouse constantly is flawed - that would only be relevant if you weren't completely au fait with your mouse. You could equally say the same condition for controller - you coould be readjusting the reticule if you're not used to it.
I appreciate YOU may prefer controller (I do too as I've already said), but stating it as a fact is quite wrong.
Actually the ps4 IS that price, people always screw up the ps4 price by not considering the total cost of ownership, paying for online is necessary with playstation...50 bucks a year tacked on that price right away. http://www.gottabemobile.com/2013/07/03/sony-playstation-4s-true-cost-of-ownership-may-surprise-buyers/
Sure you can bargain hunt for games, but well, forced to use pawn shops to get games at reasonable prices, not my idea of a good time.
Some people also won't consider playing in front of a desk as good time either.
As for consoles having an affect on pc, it will mean better looking and running ports for PC but other than that, nothing will change.
No, you're assuming people HAVE to pay for online, which they do not.
Also, for the ownership of PS+, you get over £800 of games per year (or at least that's what I've experienced). That can alter things drastically.
You have a strange understanding of how to get games cheap. I don't touch pawn shops - I only generally use stores such as shopto.net sendit.com and similar. I still buy new, but I get them dirt cheap. It involves NOT AN IOTA of extra work than you would expend for looking for an up-to-the-minute game.
Sounds like you're not too aware of the reality of the situation here, no offence intended.
I'm certainly in this boat. I can't sit at a desk for any length of time (disability issues). Although when I use my main desktop, I find big picture mode pretty good as I have it connected to the main TV.
Other times, I just use a laptop.
Point is, you don't have to go near a desk to game on a PC.
According to the site its pretty much a necessity since the major games require ps+.
Bundling is not a bargain. If I want games I'll buy them, its not likely the bundled stuff is what I would have bought for my self in the first place. Its like a car dealer selling you a special undercoating or wahtever, even if they claim its 25% off, its not something you would have bought in the first place. So yea, save 800 dollars by paying them money? No...i'm not that kind of chump:P
I think you've missed the point - I can't speak with any certainity about the PS4 simply because a lot remains to be seen, but I would be incredibly surprised if you HAD to have online. My point still stands that PS+ is a wonderful thing, and you're not seeing the point there at all.
Last year I got £800 of games I WOULD HAVE OTHERWISE BOUGHT. Yet, such an endeavour has cost just over £3 a month, which is trivial. I would happily pay that amount just for cloud saves and online capability, but you cannot overlook the games, which makes the system seem ludicrous. There is no way you can denegrate it.
Let me illustrate this further. These are the very games I received last year:
Back to the Future - Episode 1: It's about time
Back to the Future - Episode 2: Get Tannen

So, roughly £800 if you paid full price for these elsewhere. Actual cost? £40. If you can't see the obvious value there, then I'm at a loss. That is the cost of ONE GAME, and you're getting all those.
Your point about bundling doesn't make a lot of sense frankly, as that seems to address stuff you wouldn't want.
Oh, sweet Jesus, GIVE ME ALL YOU'RE GAMES!!!!!!!!
