Market screen is black/empty.
Since today (about 12 hours now) I cant access the market. I only see a blank, black screen, Everything else works in community, also store and other areas. I can also sell from my inventory, but the market wont work.

Anyone with the same prob?
Any solutions beside the already tried reload, restart, log out/in?

Did you try on the browser?

Thanks for answers.

No I havent tried within a browser (well Iwatched about everything with browser and it worked), but market requires me to log in, which I dont like due to security.

A maybe dump question: How to un- and reinstall? I found no option in steam, unshure about a file to use - would I have to do it by the os (windows)?

Can you throw a link of what on the Market doesn't work; if it's something in particular?

If this is happening on your Steam -client, exit Steam; navigate yourself to
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Steam\

Remove the htmlcache -folder and re-launch Steam.

Thx for your answer Teutep:

As told, everything else on steam seems working fine. I can also trade (buy and sale) if I go to my inventory and acces the conmmunity market through tradeable cards. But if I try to go to the market (drop down menue community / market, or I also tried coying url and seraching) I only receive a black/empty screen, nothing at all. This is hapening since yesterday around 10/11 am
cet.

I#ll try for your solution with the html-cache.

Left steam, deleted the htmlcache -folder and relaunched.

The http://steamcommunity.com/market/ shows as empty black.

Any other ideas?

However, you could access the page on your web-browser, as you tried it as not-logged in from what I gathered?

Do you have any other computers in the house you could try accessing Steam Market on your account with?

For uninstalling you can try the Refresh Steam files
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=265037866

But it will give you a 7 days cool down... (except if @Teutep remember what is the files that needs to be keepet to not get that cool down)

But i do not see it likely as the problem if outher pages load

It's the ssfn -file, it stores the SteamGuard authorization.

Thx to both of you for trying to help.

I will read that guide and might do it tomorrow. Are there other files that need to be protected/backed up?

The whole issue is very strange. I did manually shut down the steam webhelper(s) with task-manager and as I hit reload the market screen apeared, telling me I need to log in.
When I loged in it told me I´m already loged in, screen went black.
Shut down with taskman. again, screen is there (tells not loged in) , hit reload, went black.
Shut down, screen (not loged in), hit "my market-history" - did show it for half a second - went black.

Strange, stranger ...

Try maybe to move to the beta client? see if that helps?

Thx for "joining in" Black Blade 8-) , can you please tell me how to move to beta client?
I know how to go for previous/beta builts with games, but not with steam client - search delivered multiple but not really matching results.

Thx - was kind of blind/dumb not to see that - will try.

I was busy so I just wanted to do it half an hour ago. I started steam and got that question if you would participate in that hardware ?inquiry?. I agreed and did, then went to the market and it was all there!
Strange I thought, well the important thing is it works again.
Some while later: Lets test it again, closed steam, restarted, went to market, all black!

This is just ridicilous - but Im REALLY wondering now where the probs could be and more hesitant to fidle around with the client..
