Steam on Airplanes?
Has anyone used Steam ona an airplane? I know the in-flight internet is slow as a dog, but if you already have a game installed on your laptop, I'm guessing all you have to do is log on to Steam so you can play it.
Has anyone tried this? If so, how did it work out?

I recommend just set the laptop to Sleep mode, and before you leave make sure to put Steam on offline mode
Then you do not need internet to play your Offline games

I did not try on plane, and they may have some ports blocked that may block you from connecting, so best to go safe, and set it a head of time

Higher altitudes equals lower air presure. Lower the air presure, the lower the boiling point of water. So you might get steam at a lower temperture.

If that helps.

Just set Steam to offline mode as Black Blade suggested and you will be able to play unless you are wanting to play MP, then you might have issues.

If he wants to play mp games at a plane then he should look for other people on the plane to make a local network and play with them....otherwise it would not be fun to play...

Why wouldn't it be fun to play on an airplane?
