Is there online sales tax in Illinois?
Or some other kind of tax I'm not aware of? I currently have $50.14 and I'm trying to purchase something that costs $49.99. Before I can finalize the purchase, it says I need another $2.97.

For every state? Last time I checked only Washington had one.

Washington and Illinois charge tax. Illinois started it...right before summer I thing? Some new laws came into effect making it so tax is now charged.

There may be other too, but I don't keep up with them so I am not sure what others states may charge tax and/or will be charging tax.
