If I want to see anything different I have to browse Steam on a browser and make sure I'm not logged in.
agh thats what i was hoping wasnt the case. its the same with google play store. ffs it just pushes me away from whats being promoted bc
ill try finding games in the browser thanks
hey just because you have a brain and want new things, they dont see it, buy more of same crap.
i know this is hard words, but they have lost its way, and even steam know it.
thats why they try make it diffrent, problem is human want new stuff sometimes and you cant track such things.
look i dont want to tell you anything, but have you thought of inspect other people game list of games. or go other way to , learn what is it you want.
sometimes you can see own game list and analysing yourself, but even i look what other play not as i most have that , more a inspirations, and its actual steam own faulth, or all of them.
they can learn alot of games they cant see or know i own or played.
xbox360
pc ( alot of cd-rom not even known by steam or mark as owned )
amiga
c64
im sure a educated psychology in games can see what it is i like , and i bet they can do it on others, but it have take me decads to learn this myself.
even i can play old games, its simple matter of learn yourself.
i have learn im not a just shooter , not sure all is same over time, but hey thats your problem.
point is the more of same the more the only show you in that category.
this is not a i hate shooter games, but then you have see alot of steam profile, you can see alot of them have same game and more or less all is in this catagory.
3D first person view , without have numbers on it i bet many will say such is most game is made. but then you think of it its not the 3D first person, but most is just a shooter more or less so most is judge as see only games like that.
even my games is that. so we all sum of our games choise.
but all of this , dont ruleout bought and own already, that means you have alot of buying diffrent games if you want to change they way in how steam see you.
if you only have 3D shooters in lib thats how you will be judge.
This is the solution. And the Discovery Queue in your Steam client is work checking. Still a lot of crap turns up in there, but it's way better than the rest of the storefront. I've found quite a few things that way.
If you have had your Steam account for years, you may well have changed your tastes or be in the process of changing tastes, and that will not be reflected obviously.
On the other hand, your tastes might not change, and in which case years of data can mean really insightful results.
So, your best bet is to realise this and use it.
If you have had your account for long enough that your older behaviour is influencing results the wrong way that you desire, then simply go to the web browser of your choice, or use ana anonymiser like Duck Duck Go, and search that way,. That means it will effectively be starting a CLEAN new search and you can build off of that.
Basically once you understand what the tools in the shed are, you can use them appropriately ;)
