No idea what is going on..
steam out here punishing people for buying games
Bought ETS2 this morning and Steam made the withdrawl from my bank account, but ETS2 is not added in my library. In fact, the purchase was cancelled even though I sent in a ticket. Now I tried to purchase ETS2 plus the map booster, payment made, money withdrawn but again it's not showing up in my library.
For anyone getting this problem, don't rebuy it. Wait for Steam to fix things. I had the same problem but after waiting for 2 days, it's been resolved and the game got added to my library.
I think Valve is currently trying to fix the purchase transactions made with iDeal and Paysafe, but it still takes some time for the payment to get through. Wait for 3 days max, and then get in contact with your bank if you havent gotten the money back on your bank account yet by then. (or if you still havent received the game during that time)
Steam are not going to "fix things" as it's nothing to do with them.
It's a third party payments processor that is the problem. You're completely barking up the wrong tree.
so what should i do then???
I understand that, but it comes down on us having to wait either way. People just want their money back or get the thing they purchased. Because we can't visibly see what caused this error, you can't really blame us when we think Steam or Valve is the one having the issue. I get that it's the payment processor itself, but we just tried to understand what could possibly be wrong here.
what payment provider do you use? ideal?
I just want you to be correctly informed, because let's assume it was left with you misunderstanding this and thinking it was a Valve issue. You or any of the other readers here will likely bombard support with tickets. Tickets they cannot answer you with anything meaningful.
The result? You frsutrate yourself more, the others are similarly frustrated and the other people waiting longer for OTHER support tickets get frustrated too.
So, i want you to be informed as correctly as possible that's all.
As to what you can do, well there's only two things.
(1) Wait.
(2) Contact the payment providers and ask them for up to date info. Granted you might not get it, and it's only going to be info, and not a solution but it's something.
And for the future, try to get another payment method. If you can use a first party bank card, that's the best as it mitigates problems like this. Because they are more switched on to these problems and have better access, you can ring them up and get them to reverse such issue immediately.
Although your mileage may vary. There are good banks and bad banks, obviously
thank you!
