In before the next thread, where you've lost control over your account because you put your information somewhere it shouldn't be to 'facilitate' that speedy change that is impossible to do...
Be safe, kid. Don't trade anywhere but on steam, and with goods / people you can actually confirm.
If someone else is giving you something and not asking for anything in return, the only factor that matters is if they have the mobile authenticator.
The trade holds apply when an item is leaving an account that does not have the mobile authenticator. If they have the mobile authenticator and you do not, they can send you items without a hole because you're not trading away any items.
If they are telling you otherwise, either they don't know what they are talking about, or they are trying to get you to do something they can exploit.
Question: Do you know this person IRL? How long have you known this person on Steam?
Bruh, no one gives you anything for 'free', so... be aware, this REEKS of scam. We see this CONSTANTLY.
Just be AWARE and CAREFUL.
