how long until i can trade with someone if all trades cancelled

i cancelled all trades with my friend and it says You cannot trade with WhiteNADERv2 because you recently had all your trade offers cancelled. how long do i have to wait

7 days, if you read the notification before cancelling the trade. You will not be able to trade for 7 days with ANYONE. :)

If you recenty cancelled a trade that was on a 3 Day Hold, you'll be put under a 7 Day Trade Restriction/Cooldown. So you'd only have to wait a week before you begin trading again.

Why does Steam put 7 day trade bans because we cancel all trades?? That is really dumb and they need to stop! It seem like for whatever you do, you can get a ban.

It's a safety feature to protect your account and items.

You're only supposed to cancel a trade if you didn't authorize it. In other words, someone hijacked your account and made a trade, or you clicked a link that downloaded malware that used your Steam account to make a trade, without your permission.

You can use that week to figure out how your account was compromised and make sure nobody else gains access to it again.
