Where do I disable the escrow?
There's no link or anything posted on steam to tell me where to disable the trade escrow.

It's not optional. You cannot disable it. If you use the mobile app to confirm the trades, you don't have to wait 3 days.

But I'm on a trading site called scrap.tf for team fortress 2 and it's telling me to disable the escrow. I knew I had to use the mobile app, but I can't use the website now.

Then you have the privilege of waiting 3 days for the trade to complete. That's how long the escrow period is.

No, I mean I can't trade it at all. It'll display a message saying I can't trade anything until I enable the steam mobile authenticator or something like that. It won't even open the trade. I just want to know where I disable the escrow on the mobile app to stop the escrow.

You can't disable escrow. I don't know why you keep asking how to do it.

This is the message that displays: "Unfortunately, this trade would have resulted in an escrow. You need to both have a Mobile Authenticator on your account for at least seven days and enable trade confirmations for escrow to not occur."

That's exactly what I said in the first reply...

If you use the mobile app to confirm the trades, you don't have to wait 3 days.

So turn on mobile Steam Guard.
And turn on mobile confirmations.
Both of these things are done in the Steam phone app.

I realize that. Though they didn't release any information about where to find where to disable it.

If there was a way to disable it, everyone would disable it -- rendering this whole thing pointless.

It's not only about you. Don't want the Trade Hold? Trade only with users who've used the Mobile Guard Authenticator for 7 days while matching that quota yourself too.

If this is any way to give people who download and run RATs on their computer some extra time to realize their mistakes before it's too late, decreasing the amount of tickets Steam Support has to deal with. I'm completely up for this.

By the way, trade holds with people whom you've been friends with for over a year is only 1 day.

If you've got some better idea than abandon every hijacked victim, or remove this feature to keep the whole fiasco going clogging Steam Support up more and more. Then do feel free to suggest.

Pointless complaining is just that, pointless.

(By this I don't mean Holiday Drunk specifically, I mean practically everyone who complains.)
