Is it possible to remove the blue frame around your profile pic?
I want a good looking Steam profile and I get caught up in that annoying blue border around your profile pic. Is there a way to remove it? If not, Steam, can we please have that feature?

Check the points shop maybe. I quite like blue so I made it neon but you may be able to find another color or different border / frame.

Check my profile. On so many of the borders / frames, the border is still visible.

No. You can cover it with a frame, but it is still present very clearly anywhere but on the profile and mini-profile, since frames aren't used anywhere else.

A feature request it is, then.

You can probably block it for yourself with a cosmetic adblock rule, but it wouldn't be beneficial at the cost of removing online/in-game status.

Does Steam have something like custom CSS? Don't think that exists.

If you use Steam in a browser, there are a lot of Addons for custom CSS.
Inside the Steam Client you can create a skin (sometimes called themes) for customs CSS.

Yeah but that only solves the issue on my end, not in general. :-)

Turn on invisible mode in your friends list, that way it's always grey.

I seriously did not realise that it's my "online status", thank you for that. 🤦
