Steam overlay blocks game screen

What happens: Somtimes when I shift tab to get the steam overlay, It becomes unresponsive and the controls switch back on. So basically I can move around and do stuff in the game, but the steam overlay is partially blocking my view and the only way to turn off the game at that point is to Ctrl alt del and shut it down trough there. Is there any way to make it stop?

Shift+Tab will initiate and remove it .

Look at my profile... I have enough years on steam to know how Steam Overlay works. What I am saying that the Steam Overlay gets stuck on my screen, but when I for example try to move my mouse, I actually move around in the game, get it? So basically I am playing in the game, but the Steam Overlay ghost is stuck on my screen.

Fair enough . I just gave the quickest answer . I don't usually look at a users profile by default . Hopefully someone with an idea of the issue can help you . Good luck .
