Check the dimensions, as I am not sure because it may be close to as tall as the EVO 212.
Applying the paste correctly (as in "tining" the heatsink for example) and using good paste at that is another thing that is important. I use the ArticSilver cleaning and prep kit that you can get also.
(also that fan is much shorter than the evo so it should fit
I personally will never use anything but ArticSilver 5. I repaste laptops also with it and get much better cooling in them. Use the recommended method for the proper CPU application always, as shown and listed here...
