Steam crashes on startup connecting to account then nothing.

Hi everyone having an issue just wondered if anybody could help. Steam crashes on startup connecting to account then nothing. I have reinstalled steam and have the same issue. I can run in compatibility mode fine but games crash for me in compatibility mode. I am not sure what to do.

GWX.exe is still running. You have not uninstalled that update yet, I guess. Just end the process for now.

that apple one keeps coming back after i end it should i delete the file? i ended mDNS ibe also.

You have to uninstall Itunes, probably. Right click the process and select properties to see what program is using it.

Apple application support is the program , most likely. Since we are not sure, you should uninstall it. You can always reinstall programs later once we find the one causing this problem. You should be rebooting into normal boot each time you uninstall programs and want to test Steam again.

Click the "details" tab to get a better idea of what the program is.

Thanks. Keep in mind that anything running is suspect now, and SOMETIMES things that do not even run can be suspect but more rarely. You may have to uninstall quite a bit of programs there until you find the one(s) causing the problem.

ok still no luck after the restart got rid of that apple one.

If it was me at this point, I would do the same. Be very careful about what you uninstall, as I am sure you understand.

I just noticed this...

You have Nvidia Physx AND AMD software installed still on your PC. What is your GPU ?

You need to uninstall the other drivers using safe mode and a program like this...

It cleanly uninsalls leftover drivers when you switch from AMD to Nvidia and otherwise...

Then simply uninstall the Nvidia Physx, and ignore my post about safe mode and drivers that I just made.

EDIT..I should have asked you this sooner, but if you can remember what you installed last and then started seeing this problem with Steam, that could help. If not, then we have to just continue until we find the software affecting Steam.
