Help - Voice chat is not working

I always use steam voice chat with my friends, but after last beta update it doesn't work anymore
Even when i go to settings to test the mic also not working.

I thought it was from my mic but in another voice chat programs it's working well.
I installed steam again and my sound drive but still same issue and i plugged the mic at AIO in front of the case but still not working.

Anyone facing this problem ? do you have solution ?

Same problem. Skype/Ventrilo/Everything else recognizes my microphone except steam. Drivers are updated, I've switched USB Ports, I've reinstalled the microphone, I've restarted PC/Steam many times. Can't test microphone in steam. Very irritating problem..

And i didn't mention that if steam voice chat is not working also in-game is not working like CS:GO

I also had the beta, I reverted back but still doesn't work..then reinstalled steam wtf

No way i install windows now, they must fix it and maybe it will happen again to you

If it does happen I will know what caused it. Just saying that I fixed it.

what version of windows do you guys run?

I re-installed windows and it solved the issue (W10 clean install) but the issue reoccurred I'm wondering if it's related to a game i have installed installing some openAL or something.

I'm using windows 10. Tried resetting cache, reinstalling steam, deleted audio drivers. It's a very strange bug, since everything else the mic is working. Only on steam this happens

Opt out of the beta if you run into problems.

Just an update - I reinstalled windows 10 (clean) again and installed my audio drivers (SB ZxR Official Drivers) and I still have the same issue from my first run of steam. I tried regular steam and also beta. The only thing I installed prior to steam was the latest Nvidia Drivers for my 980 ti's.
