Can't upload a 7 second gif cause it's 15mbs...
Why is 8mb the max? Is steam gonna catch up with time? This ain't 2010

Then upload it there. Discord also has a low limit unless you're on Nitro.

Fine then, give us "Steam nitro" to be able to upload normal gifs.

Try optimizing it and getting that filesize down.

Throw it in the suggestions forum. It'd be an interesting option to have.

No, I got the point. Your argument can't simply be just because someone else allows it then it must be allowed by everyone else. That's not the way the world works.

Work on your gif to making it smaller. That means look up tips, and tricks to doing that.

This gif from a recording I made.

Shot at 4k resolution on my phone, I cut a few time frames out of the image, so every other frame was deleted, you wouldn't tell at 1st, and still think it was a smooth image, this saved me a ton of file size data, then I lower the colour range, to nearest as well, then I down scale the image, just until it was under 8MB, and would you know it, it came out pretty good.

That is irrelevant when they added this feature. This is up to Steam what limits they want to put on their service. You can make a suggestion topic under the Suggestion sub forum for raising the artwork upload limits. Anyways, just like Discord that also set limits, and other services that also has limits, it's their call what they want to do. If you want a free large uploads, then you seek other services. Some services may offer a paid services where they allow you to upload larger files, but not all services provide this. Some of those services are trash where you need to pay to keep your stuff, just like what happen to imageshack, if don't pay they delete your stuff off the account, the same thing happening to Photobucket.

They use Cloudflare more heavily and can show total disregard for customers' data plans.
