Is it possible to get a game requested on steam....
For example old games. I was hoping to get a working copy of mage knight apocalypse but can't get it working. I tried downloading one from a site, I installed it but it wouldn't play at all .
I see valve don't have mage knight apocalypse.... where can I get a working copy or can valve upload one for us?

No Valve cannot upload games thy don't own. Its up to the developer of the game if they want to put it up for sale on Steam. So there is nothing Valve can do. Your only options are looking at sites like ebay for an old copy

GOG's the only one that works from requests and will get it working in modern PCs. But they have to believe they'll get a return on investment so asking isn't a guarantee of getting.

Deep Silver are selling it on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Deep-Silver-Mage-Knight-Apocalypse/dp/B000GUB2LA

NO guarantees that you'll get it to work on modern Windows though.....

So, are you aware, that Mage Night Apocalypse has only had a single crappy PC port? And no, it will never be on Steam. Probably not on GOG, either. This is a business site, and if a game will make no money and generate no traction, then why would they host?

You might try mobygames, they have ancient stuff that even GOG or Itch.io won't host.

You can put it in the suggestion post forum to ask for them to put on steam. This is where i asked for them to put sims 1 and 2 on steam.

As for a refund, no, you cannot refund games after 2 weeks or so many hours played. Your stuck with it like glue and it is stuck to your account.

You could hide it or put it in the library under a category that says "non-working games" like i do.

YouTube Video Guide Title: How To Install Windows XP In Virtual Box - 2024

From here you should be able to play your old games. Most VM's dont have access to your GPU so you might have to research how to set that up. Nothing ChatGPT can't walk you through or answer for you.

If your going that far, myswell play on a virtual PC too. That can also be done for alot of video games.

I tried abandonedware games, they have it, I gave it a download and try and it failed. I doubt ancient games like this mage knight will work anymore
