Settings > Interface > Enable smooth scrolling OFF
Settings > Interface > Enable GPU accelerated in web views OFF
In chrome browser you can also try to disable hardware acceleration in settings>system
or
Go to chrome://flags and search for 'Choose ANGLE graphics backend', select D3D9.
Valve uses Chrome for it's store pages and such and it's non unusual for plugins on your Chrome browsers to wreck things.
So try it by process of elimination and see hoe you fare.
@starfishy :
I can't find settings > interface ?
I can only find Store preference in steam
maybe you're talking about the steam client, but I'm talking about steam web store on google chrome
I tried the 2 others things but it didn't work
@crunchyfrog : yes I have the issue even after turning off my chrome extensions
and from what other people say, I think it's an update from steam website that caused this issue recently :(
Ask Google Browser Chrome support.
steam has no right to even correct even a bit in other brands product.
I do not work for steam, and this is a user forum,
you already proof part of the issue, work in MSedge, and old windows user has seen before then a browser has a bug and we most use other browser until its fixed.
You should read above user info, codec issue, but i could not match the KB nr ( but i dont have issue. ( and ofc dont use chrome ) but maybe other steam user can use the info, if it match to your system, to see KB build verion click on installed update in windows system.
i only look at it because this might not be the last time steam user could get a codec issue.
I didn't do anything more (last thing I did was sending a mail to Chrome support)
It dont matter what you think here, we all know Chrome issue is nt going to be fixed by steam.
this is fact. and you forget it work for many others this is why it so odd.
And other did not have chrome issue then it was firefox, and again i can tell both work fine on my system, then it was blain on win11, and then win10 user told he also have the issue.
then you go though it all, it make no clues in what or with what. and all here blaim it at steam.
as fare as i can see steam did not said anything on the subject.
So its one of them things someone did domething, and no one bother with fault found.
you dont think we have not seern such magic work before.
just wait to you figureout all the time waste on try figureout why, and gl not make ticket with it dumbass, because next time , then it work for all others, yuo think someone work on it. dumbass, ( and this is why i point it out with dumbass ) there is only steam support and thirdpart app that has support here ) let them deal with it them nothing make sence here.
dumbass is term then you think do something about it and no one know there is a problem.
Seen many Company that assume other work on it. ( what a joke , then all is up and running then they call in and complina over being down )
so gl with not try make ticket, thats your problem, but here you gloat about it, and we can all tell you that idea will backfire thats day you need help.
i could just say ( IT Company with no Ticket, has no problem ) what ppl post here can be seen as then steam has no problem , becuase they dont read here.
this is a user forum for steam user, and this time we could not help other with try Steam beta.
And again we need to tell you this Chrome app is not a steam problem.
steam is not going to fix thirdpart app.
next time a Browser get a issue , you weill still complain over steam issue and lets say this is a browser issue, then we have all the rights to tell you again not a steam issue.
