what can i do to pass my acount on as i die.
im dying of cancer. im only in my 30s. if im lucky got a year ir 2 super lucky like top .1% of people i may get 10 years at absolute most but thats breaking records. i dont really have much to leave for my family. i have given my mother acess to my steam so she can play hidden object games mostly and maybe a few others. but with steam guard and all the other account crap et up over the years i feel like 5 years after im gone i doubt steam would let her in my account without a headache. if anyone has recommendations on how i can try to give her access to my account more easily that would be great. i mean shed probly play only 1hrs worth a year at most and shes alot older then me so its not like it would streatch out my account passed a normal life span.

Unfortunately, sharing your account is a violation of Steam policies no matter what.

Officially, accounts are not transferable, so your account will die along with you.

Unofficially, if you disconnected Steam Guard first and then gave someone your username and password, how would Valve ever know?

legally you can not but the chance something will happen to the account is small.

i wish you much joy in your life and many more years to life, stay positive. 10 years is just written on a piece of paper.
time will tell :)

In case of times when an account cannot be accessed by the creator/owner of the account, Steam will challenge a user to provide proof such as first email address used, credit card info, etc. that proves they are the rightful owner of the account during the account recovery process.

Other than that, as long as the user has the correct account name, password, and access to the steam guard codes, they can log in whenever they want.

Removing the steam guard protection will make it easier for that user to log in to the account. It will disable some of the community features but access to the games will not be hindered.

Here's to you hoping you are among the top .1%. Live strong to the end.
The easiest way is to have a will and leave your account information in said will.

That's not officially allowed since your account is not transferable, but you can still do that.
thanks everyone that responded. appreciate it. have a wonderfull day
It's a don't say anything and no one will care kind of thing.
If you think your gonna pass away, unlink your Steam Guard and give your username and password to whom you wish to leave it to.

JUST DONT ADVERTISE THAT YOU'RE DOING IT.
