I gave the antivirus the task of not letting my game overwrite its files

hi everyone, I would like to get a response from you because I am faced with a problem that I cannot solve. I have a game Don't starve Together, I deleted it but played before that after I reinstalled the game, my antivirus said that Dont Starve was trying to overwrite its files, but I unknowingly forbade it to do so and now no matter what I do, I can't stop it please help.

I would have gone to the website of my anti virus to see if there is a solution there, and if I didnt find one contact that anti virus's support.

You've got things a bit wrong.

Antivirus does not overwrite files - it quarantines them; quite the opposite.

What is likely happening is fairly common. It sees some string of data in the Don't Starve files as suspect and is quarantining them.

How you fix this is to go to your antivirus suite, check the quaratined list and look for files either steam related or Don't Starve realted, then click on them and make an exception for them.

This will fix it.

And Antivirus dont block all them many files at loctaion , so technicaly you did a reinstall, and files there is seen as past files so , either its was never uninstalled in the first place.

Uninstall that piece-of-♥♥♥♥ anti-virus. Flagging a a program overwriting its own files as dangerous isn't merely stepping over the line (the one between caution & paranoia), that's galopping over this line.

Anti-virus written by people that incompetent can't be good. And the built-in Defender really is absolutely ly adequate.
