so i made a twitch account
live streaming software is needed
so is this software free
and if so
where would i find the best or is there a range of 'best' one to choose from
can someone give me a heads up on this stuff ?

It is free and was easy for me to set up. Twitch even has a guide for how to set up most the settings in the link Kesac provided.

iv downloaded OBS and im going through the settings for setup
and im at Advanced Tab and i dont see the options for Quicksync or Nvidia NVENC
numbers 11,12,13 i cant follow and i have a sandybridge processor
what happens now, i suspect a detour around this problem
why are the otions missing in my settings

I left those unchecked.

How are they missing? Greyed out or just not there?

If I recall correctly,

When you input your stream key and the stream type as a twitch stream, OBS will tell you what settings you need to change for a twitch stream, and will even change them for you if you want. It's been a while since I set it up however.

so if i click start streaming is everything i do been recorded or do i need to start after i enter a game , do i need to link OBS through tWitch somehow

You'll need to enter your twitch stream key in the broadcast settings, this is what identifies OBS to twitch. Once you click start streaming, it will start streaming immediately (use Preview Stream before going live to make sure you have the scenes set properly)

Right, sources are the game you're streaming pretty much. Monitor Capture is capturing everything on your monitor, while window and game are individual windows.

Right, although sometimes it's a bit trial and error. It helps if you have two computers, but what I do is set the setting (in twitch) to ensure that you save replays, go online for 2-3 minutes, then watch the replay.
