Remote play together audio not working
I've been playing through Lego Star Wars with my boyfriend through remote play and all of a sudden maybe a week ago we've come across a bug where he can no longer hear audio. The game still works fine just no audio. I've tried Googling but there isn't much discussion about this and I have tried all of the results I did get from that like. Enabling Play audio on Host, Disable Hardware Decoding, Restart Steam, Check Sound Output but nothing works. I have also tried remote play together on other games and we still have this problem. Please tell me someone who has come across this issue and knows a fix

It is not just you though, i have also seen reports of people talking about this issue on the broadcasting forum. They definetly broke something in last update. I suggest you also post about this issue on there.

Hey!
We have the same problem with my bf. It's a new bug or something like that. So have to wait until the steam fix this problem. You can use discord for the sound (you share the screen) or use steam beta.

Do you use windows 11 24h2? Microsoft confirmed audio issues with games.

The other issues is licensed music alot of times can be blocked on external recording. This happened to me before on a final fantasy game.

Hi people:

Seems like the current beta update (activate Beta update) for steam fixed the sound problem where the "client" player who joins the remote play session as player 2 had no game sound. Tested with 2 friends at different locations and with different hardware setup.

Did not experience any bad side effects with Beta. But keep in mind that I just play games, use online Multiplayer and Remote Play.
