Plz Help! Random games Crashing with KERNEL MODE HEAP CORRUPTION

Hello! I have a weird thing that just started up this week. Some, not all, some of my games will crash immediately after I launch them. The games that crash will load in for a few seconds, I might see the logo of the company or game title pop up, and than a black screen, an unresponsive computer (No mouse, and cant tab out) and than it restarts itself. If the game is loading and I'm looking at another screen I get the blue screen with a KERNEL MODE HEAP CORRUPTION error message, and than it restarts. When one of the games crashes, they crash 100% of the time you try to load them, and the games that don't crash, don't crash at all. So far I only have this problem with Steam games, Epic seems to have no issues. All my drivers are up to date, bios, the lot. No malware was found, and my memory scans came back fine. I checked all hardware connections, they were all fine to. I reinstalled the problem games, cleared cash, verified files, reinstalled steam, etc. I can get the problem games to boot in safe mode btw.

Funny thing is I cant boot up total war pharaoh dynasties, but I can boot up the original Pharaoh and run it with zero issues. The games that are having issues I had run no problem on the current AMD drivers for weeks. I have a 7900 xt, and have zero issues with it since I got over a year ago.

Hello, I have the same problem only with Steam, all my Steam games load for brief moments and then the Windows blue screen error "kernel mode heap corrupt" appears; And it only happens to me with Steam because I have games on Blizzard Activision, Epic Games, Ubisoft, EA and they work normally, and I am in the same situation, I changed liquid cooling, updated all the drivers and even reinstalled Windows, but the problem still persists, And I only had problems with Steam a week ago.

Have you re-check BIOS and it's driver from brand support. or auto update app actual do its job as they say they do.

Here as steam or should i say PC user no such things as worked a week ago or year ago.
BSOD is not being seening as normal anymore, thats 2 decad ago most had issue thing not work as it should in the OS. ( even i can see a reduce pc issue after win10 was released.
now you need a driver that not work as it should anymore. ) and MS do not make drivers they are given to them by product support.

Be lucky if this is OS issue ( most of us never find a issue then checking )

Do Not underestimate only have what is need to get steam and game running.

No printer and other controller or remote device then you test for system stability, same goes with NO OC, yuo try to make sure all is standard and pc is okay in this default pc.

This included 1 monitor and other back to basic while testing.

And yes its sounds like a joke, but you need to see it from simple pc setup

You can find post with ram not insert correctly in the slot to disk is damage.
you have check disk and verify game intergrity of files.

And ram tester.

and its here BIOS update might matter if RAM leak or other issue Brand support already has solved.

I update information: I have tried the tf2, it starts normally but when I click on search for community servers, it automatically restarts with the blue screen mode heap corrupt, and another similar example happens to me with half life, I click on search for servers on the internet and they barely appear Windows restarts with the same error, I suspect it is some steam internet network problem, why again can I play on other platforms ea blizzard ubisoft without any problem, please does anyone know of a solution?

I am having the same issue currently with any new game I purchase and install, I didn’t have any issues yesterday, went to play the same game today and it crashed, I refunded thinking it might just be that game, I bought a different game and it also gives me BSOD I contacted Microsoft support and they logged in and checked everything saying there is nothing wrong with the pc, and that all the issues are coming from the games themselves, I have checked games that were older and on different drives, no issues, other games I have installed previously before yesterday on the same drive as the new one, no issues, I have checked the integrity of the files and also have checked all drivers, nothing is displaying any errors, I’m running out of options and ideas, any help would be greatly appreciated

I and other do not agree with whatever MS reply here.

MS do not fix other Brand product issue and its Driver, and they never will.

MS can reduce them that's not same as FIX a product issue.
if you dont know DVD-drev and other things can have firmware "then think again of what i said"
and its here i and other give a crap in what other Technician tell you.

And be happy we are gamers here, that tell you, if you have extra unit you dont need at PC system and can be turn off doing this test, then do so. ( you dont need printer or game pad controller if that game is a keyboard/mouse game, you are in a test phase and you try your best to ruleout alot of things what cause this.

but here is the problem what hardware or its driver do not do there job as it should or once did.

Have you forgot steam has change alot of issue with USB and its game controller

what prevent you from test that game on other pc, or friends laptop.
thats is still part of faulty finding process, and i can tell you , you are in trouble then it work at other pc. ( that's how i get kicked in my own butt, then i proof what the heck it work there on other pc. and this actual help me try figureout what cause this.

Go ahead contact steam support, so they know what you stuggle with but i doubt, they will fix your Game controller or other Brand product name you have that's not made by steam.

There is a reason im so hard, you think it come by itself, HELL NO it comes then you ask or try get help at wrong not Support places, that included all them MS ppl that think all things in this world is a MS problem and you been told or chat or got help from them that your pc dont have a issue.

If you dont graps the multi pc test or other pc and it work there, is proof , then you dont get mass production and other way to see a single pc unit get decomission, until local IT-department locate the issue, because i have done that 1000. of times. almost a shoot first ask question later. tactic, i dont care about 1 pc unit at a company with 10 or 100 if not 1000's of pc.

Many IT person do this, your problem is most is not gamers and many will never help or post here.

i bet you can find 1000 of gamers in them games you have issue with. ( unless its a past gen game ofc.)


MS my butt here, that dare say your pc look normal. ( that require proof ) in what cause this. and they did not provide any intel or ways to narrow it down.

Have you guys found a solution yet? I haven't been able to play any multiplayer for the past 5 months or so.. I can do whatever when I'm in a game if I don't have internet connection, but as soon as I do, and click the Multiplayer tab, I get a blue screen: "KERNEL MODE HEAP CORRUPTION"

driver issue. First run sfc/scannow to see if any errors get fixed. If not, do a factory reset of your graphics card drivers. Make sure to do a clean factory reset. Most manufacturer has a way of doing this on their website. Next, reinstall most recent graphics driver version. See if that fixes the issue. YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE when you factory reset it, make sure it is CLEAN version factory reset.

When this problem first occurred for me, my reaction was to remove my graphics card drivers. When trying to play without any drivers installed, it didn't give me a BSOD - so I'm ready to accept your answer that it's a driver issue. But every time I reinstalled to the most recent drivers version, the same thing happened again.

What I don't understand is the connection between the graphic card drivers, Steam and multiplayer. Since I can play multiplayer on a game outside of Steam, and singleplayer in a game on Steam. I only get BSOD whenever I click the multiplayer tab in the main menu or while loading into the main menu in a Stea game (never in-game the few times I've ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in, or when playing singleplayer); in this case when trying Napoleon: Total War, but it happens in other games as well.

I will follow your instructions to make sure I wipe it completely this time and then try again with reinstalling the drivers, but I'm somewhat skeptical.

I'll update once it's done.
