I just bought a new ultimate 2C controller and i'm trying to remap the R4 and L4 buttons to be R3 and L3, but i cant find anything

To do it via the controller itself, from the manual (https://download.8bitdo.com/Manual/Controller/Ultimate/Ultimate-2C-Wireless-Controller.pdf):

L4 / R4 Configuration

The Mapping indicator will blink continuously when the configured button is pressed.
Hold the L4 / R4 button + the button you would like to configure, then press the Mapping button to complete the configuration. Repeat the same procedure to cancel the configuration.

It seems oddly written to me... I'd take it to be: hold L4 + e.g. L3, the Mapping indicator blinks, then you press the Mapping button. That how it is?

Can i ask you OP how much you paid for that controller? I am thinking of buying one. I have a older 8bitduo controller, the snes looking one.

Can't answer for OP but my Ultimate 2C Wireless was 29,99 € (two weeks ago).
