Trade market cooldown, why does it exists?
So I was depositing money to my steam wallet everything went great until I went over to the community market and tried to buy some skins! Then I got that message saying that I have to wait until Jan 29th or to verify my credit card. So I tried to verify my card but it's not that easy to translate swedish krona to euro so I used my banks up for that and it wasn't the right amount still. Tried that a couple times and no I'm off of that solution too. So now I have to wait until Jan of 29th. I tried to deposit some more money to my steam wallet and that works just fine even though the cooldown. So depositing money is OK but spending money doesn't work. Ain't that a damn rip-off!! Steam rules.

Anyone know if I can get off that cooldown somehow?

No. Trading and market restrictions are for improved security for everyone and also apply to everyone.

Already been complained about here and all over the forums so please don't go there again. We have heard it all before. Nothing anyone can do about it as security is here to stay. Thanks.

It's to protect against credit card fraud.

Yeah and its nobody elses fault if you get you steam account hacked or something, it was YOU who put on a paying method to your account and saved it. Remove the security and be a little bit more "responsible" of where you are adding your credit card number and saving it. Thats it.

It's not to protect you from fraudulent use of your card if your account gets hacked, it's to stop people from using stolen credit card numbers to buy stuff on the Steam market. That's why the verify process exists, so that you can prove that it's your card, not a card belonging to someone else.

It's only applied to market purchases because market sales are a mechanism by which fraudulently obtained funds can end up in another user's Steam wallet; a user who may well be an innocent bystander. There's no good way to revoke those funds when the fraud is discovered, especially if that user has e.g. already bought a game with the money.

Yeah, imagine buying lots of items from the market and then later Valve takes them away from you because the people you bought them from originally used stolen credit cards to obtain them. You would get caught up in someone else's crime even though you did nothing wrong.
