Randomly losing internet followed by blue screen of death
I haven't found a specific thing i'm doing that makes the internet stop working, other than downloading on steam. After a few minutes of downloading around 3GB a second, it slowly drops lower and lower until it says i'm not connected to the internet. That can be annoying but is more rare because i don't download new games very often. Basically what will happen is I will be on the internet using facebook, youtube, or twitch, and suddenly things will stop loading. I will know immediately that it's acting up again, but by then it's too late. If i pull the usb out that i use for my wifi, it still says in the bottom right corner than i am plugged in but have no internet connection. When this problem isn't happening, unplugging the usb would result in a clear disconnection and the icon at the bottom right will change. Is my problem something with the computer, or do i need a new usb/way of using wifi?

Alright well as far as i know, everything is fixed now. I don't see any problems really since the only way to test it is by using the computer a lot and seeing if the problem happens again. Or is that not the final step?:2015coal:
I take it that means you have internet access, if you still get blue screens then it's probably something else...

We cannot really say for sure. Your BSOD errors may be related to something else..

AS you said yourself, you maybe should check for other drivers or updated drivers for your system and install them.

I think it should be working since forcing it to change means i have to be using the new drivers now
Have you ever heard of a situation where unplugging the usb doesn't change the bottom right icon's status of the internet? Nothing can be fixed and it's then when i restart the computer to reset it, which then shows the bsod. Just incase that draws new redflags in your minds before I go running off to test the new driver

YOu don't have an actual Wifi device in that desktop do you ? ONLY this USB and your ethernet controller for network connections right ?

As far as i know, i have no built in wifi inside of the desktop. I'm actually unsure how to check on that. I've always used a little usb stick to connect to the router

Now go to control panel and then "system" (if you have small icons as your view) and then "device manager".

Expand "Network adapters". What exactly do you see there ?
Model, manufacturer, model number, etc.
Near the same area where you drew that quote, i listed everything underneath Network Adapters.

Yes, I see that but what does it say NOW ?
It says Linksys AE2500
Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter
and also i left this out before because i thought it was referring to my gaming controller: Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
your gamepad wouldn't be under network adapters, that's your wired adapter
:A::Y: Yeah i double took it since I thought a controller under network adapters would be a huge problem as well. Turns out i read it lazily
Do you see ANY yellow "!" or other issues from that list in device manager there ?
Oh if you want to download speccy>open it>wait for it to finish loading info>file>publish snapshot> then post the url, I'll take a look through later on and give you download links to the rest of your hardware (or if you don't want to post the url then file>save as text and email to me@choggi.org)
