Randomly losing internet followed by blue screen of death
I haven't found a specific thing i'm doing that makes the internet stop working, other than downloading on steam. After a few minutes of downloading around 3GB a second, it slowly drops lower and lower until it says i'm not connected to the internet. That can be annoying but is more rare because i don't download new games very often. Basically what will happen is I will be on the internet using facebook, youtube, or twitch, and suddenly things will stop loading. I will know immediately that it's acting up again, but by then it's too late. If i pull the usb out that i use for my wifi, it still says in the bottom right corner than i am plugged in but have no internet connection. When this problem isn't happening, unplugging the usb would result in a clear disconnection and the icon at the bottom right will change. Is my problem something with the computer, or do i need a new usb/way of using wifi?

I suggest that you follow this guide and uninstall then reinstall the driver for it. Make sure you install and update the right driver.

Are you using another computer to post that msg?

I use steam on my phone too. Just doing a system restore since i screwed myself

you could download the driver onto your phone then copy it over from the phone?
Crane Operator Jan 19, 2016 @ 4:05pm
Hmm i have no idea how to do that lol. I'm guessing that my mistake was not downloading a new driver to switch to before deleting the old one. I don't actually know how that's possible either

Did you not have a copy of that updated driver already downloaded before from when you installed that device ? If you did not, then that could have been your issue all along here. I always keep copies of downloaded drivers on my computer as backups just in case, but it seems that you never installed the driver for this device to begin with.

You probably could have just rebooted and let Windows try to recognize the device, then update the driver from that guide on the official support page.

The good ChoGGi has been very helpful here and linked the downloads and .exe for you.

when you connect the phone to your computer it should show up as a device, then you browse it in explorer till you find the file you downloaded (assuming you have a usb cable you can connect it with)

I don't think i still have the usb to connect my phone to a computer. Alright so downloading those two links will just fix everything? Does it automatically delete/replace old things?
ChoGGi Jan 19, 2016 @ 4:13pm
well extract that zip, when windows asks for drivers then point it to them
you may not need to install that AE2500 Windows Setup Software, if it's what I think it is then you probably don't need to install it

but I would refer to that article The Giving One posted above and also try here

Currently while at the step where it connects to my house's wifi, it loads for a long time "Connecting to your network..."but it fails. Is that because i need to delete the old drivers now?
