How to perform first time setup?

I am trying to reinstall a game along with all required third party software, but steam just downloading the game and trying to start every time on it's own, without DRM and all other necessary stuff (which ends up crashing for obvious reason). Long story short I just want to know how to force first time setup.

Why not give much more information here so maybe we can help better...

What game or games on Steam have this problem ?
What are your computer specs, including the operating system ?

What error messages are you seeing exactly ?
What is your antivirus program ?

Have you upgraded to Windows 10 from a previous OS ?

WHAT third party software are you talking about in your title above ?

Thanks but something may still be affecting your Steam there. I suggest that you take a look at this support page..

A program such as antivirus perhaps may be affecting the automatic installation of those packages, as normally, they should be automatic you see.

Antiviruses are not the only thing listed there. So it seems that you actually did not look at the link.
