DayZ Stuck Running cant force close DayZ.exe Help please!

I was playing Dayz the other day until it froze on me, so i decided to try and force close it and reboot. It took a while and i ended up just restarting my computer. Now whenever i log onto steam the game is just "running".
I have tried starting the game, ive tried force closing the Day.exe. but is just says " Access Denied" please any ideas are helpful!! <3

If Dayz is the only game you have a problem with , then maybe ask in the DayZ forum. Right click that game in your library and select "view forum" and search there before you post. Thanks.

I have the same problem with all my games, what works for me is for me to alt tab open the steam app then hit cntrl+alt+delete going to task manager and closing "Steam Client Bootstrapper" then steam will close completely. But you still need to restart after sometimes, if that doesnt work then I take it a bit farther and just go to my programs x86 and delete the game files.

This is why I never install Steam in any program files folders, as the UAC messes with Steam and other apps installed there.

I always install Steam in a folder all by itself OUTSIDE of program files folders, and on a seperate drive all to itself.

Currently on a PCIe X 4 256 GB SSD and runs perfect with no disk permission issues such as "access denied".
