Post the exact model and manufacturer of the computer. Many are doing this upgrade to Windows 10 without even checking for drivers on the manufacturer's website(s).
Why in the world would you ever call that a "fix" ? If the drivers do not exist for your hardware as supported in Windows 10, then they are not supported. Sometimes other drivers work and sometimes they give BSOD errors. Only trusted drivers are the ones that you should be using.

Won't matter if Windows 10 won't run on OP's computer.
For example only...
If you had an Nvidia GPU, you would go to the Nvidia website to download the drivers, not some third-party website like CNET or something. Only trusted drivers are the ones you should be using.
EDIT..By the way, what does this have to do with Steam ?
It looks like you need to be here in this forum (linked below), but they are going to tell you same thing as long as you link this thread to them there if you go to post. But going there is really pointless if you cannot find the drivers for that computer that support Windows 10.

2. Is it safe to assume that if I did a clean install of Win7 or Win8 then I would be able to use the DS3 tool again?
