issues I'm having
Is anyone having issues where you have a game installed, but Steam for some reason does not recognize that the game is actually installed, and Steam has to go through your files to make sure its there? I have had this happen 3 times this week and i'm not sure if anyone else is having the issue or if its just me

Trend Micro is my Internet Security. I have had this computer since May and have never had an issue with this before this week. I think i do know what the problem is now after reading that.

Programs change over time. The list shows that you have possible problematic software on your computer. I suggest you remove that as being possible. Follow the instructions there, please. That is my suggestion.
I honestly think its because my power has gone out a couple of times while Steam has been running, so Steam hasnt shut down correctly, but i will see what happens with this

3 times a week ? Which sounds like you have had this for a long time ? I don't think so. The files are most likely being broken by Trend Micro, and you have to keep fixing/verifying/reinstalling them.

Make real-time exceptions for Steam and Steam games. If that does not work...
Disable Trend Micro and test again. If that does not help...
Temporarily uninstall Trend Micro, reboot your PC, and test it again. You can have an antivirus that is not listed if you wish while you test this.
ok took me a minute to understand what you are saying, but I got it now. I will see what happens with that.
After you resolve the issue, you will have to verify the game files for all games affected and by doing that EXACTLY as suggested here, step by step.....
