Does Running Games off an External HDD Lower the FPS?
I have a 1TB Hard Drive which is my C Drive and it's full but I have an External HDD and as I want to buy games off the sale such as Rocket League but I'm wondering whether it will lower my FPS when playing if installed to an External HDD?

Okay, thanks for the short answer as that's what I was hoping for. I'm completley fine with having to wait a little extra for it to load as long as I can get the best performance out of my games.

Thanks for the help buddy.

i wouldn't recommend running any game from an external drive. it will be super slow loading. you can open the drive enclosure and pull the drive out and just install into your computer... its typically just an ordinary harddrive inside the enclosure.

it can effect your FPS as a form of video/cpu lag if the drive has to load parts of a level or fetch anything as you play..

If the Disk it self of the outside one is faster :D:, i mean USB 3 with a disk that runs 1000RPS will not be as fast as internal 5400RPS

As toad said all ready, it dose not have to be slower depends on what outside you have, my Exstrnal HDD with USB 3 is faster then my internal one, so it really boosts up my loading, and not takes it down most times
