Gigabyte GTX 980 Gaming G1 Temperature?
Hey guys,

somehow my GTX 980 is getting to 65° while playing games like Black Ops 3 and its 50° in idle. Are the temperatures to high?

Those are normal for a video card. You're fine.

Pretty sure that Maxwells don't even fan up until 65 C, unless I am wrong here. So like the good Kal-El said (happy birthday !!!), that is normal.

My 980 Ti is factory set for fans to not run at all until that temp. So I use something like MSI Afterburner and make a custom profile.

Hardware and Operating system topics usually go here...

No big deal...just if you need help on hardware or OS issues in the future, you see. Good luck to you always.

GPUs are one of the most durable componenets of your PC. For some cards even 90° is normal. Your temps are fine for a obviously factory overclocked 980.
