Mobile Authentication
I'm trying to login to the mobile app and need the Steam Mobile App to get the code. I need to login first. It's a chicken and egg situation. How can I login without removing Steam Guard?

You need login + password for steam mobile app.

If that is your real account login name, I might suggest you cover that up in screenshots or edit it in an image editor before posting it. It's not good to give that out, if it's your real account name.

EDIT......the post with the link that was above this reply was removed

Sorry, as I am not sure about your question, but wanted to kindly remind you about the image quickly. Did you have a look at the FAQ to maybe see if that can help ?

After I enter my username and password, I get this:

How do I get around this?

The mobile authenticator should still be displaying codes even if logged out, assuming it was previously set up. If you start the process just as the code updates and you're quick you should be able to make it before it rolls over.

If you have a set of backup codes now would be an excellent time to use them.

If you don't have backup codes and the app isn't generating codes, you'll need Support to disable Steam guard and then you'll have to re-enable it.

I was able to remove the Steam Guard and login from there. Thanks.
