Its quite simple, something changed on your system and by system I mean your computer, your router, whatever you use to download games. The whole system.
It could be as small as an update for windows, or update on Steam, or as big as.... some additional PC with higher priority suddenly downloading all the time on the same network.
there are a lot of possibilities as to what could slow down your download experience
