Mature rated game not shown when i search them on steam

when i want to search a game like dying light or any pegi 18 games, i can't see them on the searc h section of steam. i have to google it then from google i find the link to steam store but then i have this : THIS GAME CONTAINS CONTENT YOU HAVE ASKED NOT TO SEE:
General Mature Content. How do i disactivate this filter, i don't know how did i activate it ?

If you don't mind, I'd like to add a question related to this before I open another discussion. Before my additional question, did you set those preferences yourself and did the 18+ etc title appear before?

Because my problem, that I hope someone can help me with, is that I am not being shown a lot of things DESPITE all settings set to show me everything. Every now and then I uncheck and re-check the boxes in hopes it fixes the situation but that doesn't help. Sometimes I know Steam doesn't show games I have on ignore, but Steam then usually gives me the supposed option to show *all* things regardless, but when I hit that button it changes nothing and the hidden things based on my preferences (which, I repeat, are set to show EVERYTHING) are still hidden. And even if the "ignored" items show up, there are typically still many things left unseen. One theory I have is that those may be titles not available in my country for questionable reasons but sometimes that makes no sense and doesn't explain the number of items not shown, on top of that I would guess that Steam wouldn't count them anyway if I wasn't allowed to view those in the first place.

The categories should be

• General Mature Content
  
• Frequent Violence or Gore
  
• Some Nudity or Sexual Content
  
• Frequent Nudity or Sexual Content
  
• Adult Only Sexual Content

As far as I've read here, if you're e.g. German you won't even see that last category as an option. Do/are you?

Yup, Germany and the last 2 aren't available. So I guess those games not shown to me are still counted and hidden by default regardless of my preferences, ugh...well thanks anyway, wish I could at least be shown the titles of the games so I could know or at least google and see why they might be hidden.

From my understanding:

Adult Content games are hidden in Germany as Valve doesn't comply with their laws for allowing access to such content.

Such content is disabled by default. You would have to activate it, in order to see it. Follow

Honestly I'm not a fan of the smut, not like this anyway. I think Steam should have a different section for those games. If I'm going for something tickling my horny bone (pun not intended, but I'll leave it as is), I'm not going to play games. Steam is doing a "great" job at filtering prawn games anyway, but that's a rant for a different time and place. Though I do have to add I should have been more explicit myself to spare you folks some explaining, my vague description did include those titles at least. I was aware of them existing and not showing (that I'm "missing out" on 2 whole categories was news to me though)
But if they are actually working on a solution for Germany, that's at least something I gues...also the reddit thng is useless except for reading some reasonables and some naggers :P (though it's also possible I'm not shown all there is to see because I don't have an account there) but other than that this has at least been helpful in clarifying the situation a little bit, so thanks for that.

The first post in the Reddit link was just to give you an idea of whey they are not viewable on Steam. Nothing really more then that.

Ah okay, I was expecting more of an explanation because you prefaced it containing that :P but no harm done so all good

Nevermind, my bad, overlooked the "more" button to actually show text below that picture wheren an explanation is, only saw the comments earlier. But I did already clarify that the explanation was unnecessary and also the result of me not clarifying enough initially. So, sorry about the confusion there.

The game is sold in other stores, they tell where it can be activated.
I dont see the reason why its not visible on steam store. It even has been rated.
Its not because of a setting.
