Problems with MO2 install on Ubuntu Linux 24.04
Steam, Skyrim, FO4 are all installed and run OK as vanilla.

PROBLEM: I'm trying to install Mod Organizer 2, ( https://github.com/rockerbacon/modorganizer2-linux-installer ), and the script refuses to recognize game prefixes. I am following directions accurately as best as I can tell.

QUESTION: Is it possible I have a conflict between different types of installations? Steam is a SNAP install, and protontricks is apparently a flatpak install.

I had to add a symbolic link so the MO2 install script could find the Steam installation, but the prefixes cannot be found. I can find them searching my directories manually, but cannot figure out how to make protontricks ( I think ) find them.

Hopefully someone has used rockerbacon's script from Github and has an idea on this. I'm tired of vanilla. ;) Thanks.

It is best to ask on the Skyrim forum. Alot of people use MO2 there. This is why i use Vortex as i do not run into these issues. You may also have to download SKSE to get it to work.

Thanks. I have SKSE installed, but SKYUI says it's not running properly. I'll head over to Skyrim and ask there too. Thanks again.

It is best to ask there. When i had issues, lots of people on the skyrim forum helped me out.
