Can't trade after buying cases on website
Can't trade with anyone after i bought some cases on a couple different websites. on the HelpWhyCantITrade page it just says "yep, you can't trade, heres a laundry list of all of the reasons we might've done that" with 0 information on what happened. Pretty upset if my entire account now just can't trade? like i said 0 information, no email, nothing.

A great first step would be securing your account, seeing as you just gave you login info away.

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

You may want to check your trade history just in case one of those 'different websites' is a scam site. I see your public inventory so nobody stole all your items...yet. Consider clicking the deauthorize button for Steam Guard(also hope you remember your password, you'll need it once).
As for the 'reasons' purchases can't be traded for a while for your own protection(but items you have had for a while can still be traded). That cuts down on the scamming. Changing your screen name will also lock you out of trading for a short while.
If you've pulled your own items from a user to user trade that you used Steam Guard to confirm then you get locked for 15 days. Steam Support will not lift such cooldowns early.

You traded probably on a scam website and gave away all your credentials. Follow d3stroy3r's information above. Never trade off steam or expect all kinds of stuff like this to happen.

you changed your name, this triggers a 4 hour trade cooldown.

also, stop advertising 3rd party sites with the name and avatar. they are getting changed. each time support steps in and resets them, you get a cooldown that prevents you from changing your name/avatar. it does not take much to get up to a 1 month cooldown

Yep. Play stupid tricks, get stupid rewards. OP is causing their own issue for doing this dumb thing.

https://gyazo.com/ [redacted]
1) Remove the screenshot link as it has your account name on full display. Not something that you want to broadcast openly.

2) Considering #1, I'm assuming you aren't taking account security as seriously as you should. Follow d3str0y3r's steps in Reply #1.

3) Change the profile pic and name. Stop advertising for other people.

4) Last, but not least, stop using 3rd party trading sites. You're just asking to get scammed.

I removed the gyazo, please let me know how just sharing my steam account name puts me in jeopardy, as i just truly am clueless on how that alone would be a problem.

i think they did the trade link for me changing my pic and name, doing the old advertisement thing literally tons of people use to do, excuse me for not knowing that it's not allowed and enforced now as someone rudely pointed out.

other than the steam market is everyone just in agreement that you should never use a 3rd party site?

people do silly things and post information they shouldnt post. being aware of what information you should not be posting is part of account security. day 1 you post your account name, some days later for some reason you post your password. not a good idea for account security. maybe later on you accidently post your email address for the account. the information may appear worthless to you, but it is useful to scammers and account thieves.

as for 3rd party sites, you can use them. but you have to remember that they dont answer to steam/valve. anything happens, you are on your own. many of them are scams that will steal account log ins and use them later. easier to keep people from believing a site is a scam if they only hit a small % of their users everyday.

maybe you should be asking yourself why a site would ask you to do something they know is against the rules? those sites know they are not allowed to advertise on steam, yet they offer deals for people that do advertise them using their accounts.
