Multiple payment providers fail

I've been using PayPal and iDEAL for years now. Today I tried to buy a game with PayPal (which is almost instantly unlike iDEAL) but payment was stuck on pending so I cancelled. Tried again through PayPal same effect, so cancelled again (no money taken from PayPal).

So at that moment I thought maybe a problem with PayPal so I tried iDEAL, but also iDEAL is stuck pending for almost an hour.

Are there problems at Steam side processing payments?

iDeal transactions have not been working well on Steam the past few days.

PayPal may take a while longer for it to be completed.

Agreed though PayPal almost always worked for me, so it seems Steam is dealing with either a technical processing bug / problem or a high load on their end.

High load? Yeah right.

If that involves me not getting my 10 euro wallet on what is an automatic system, I doubt high load is the reason. Normally I deposit just fine. My money is out of my bank account therefore they should have verified it...

So I bought the fallout stuff, and its now not even in my payment history on steam anymore despite me sending a ticket on this payment that is now stated to be 'failed'.

Where is the fail here? The money's not rejected by my bank account and support is useless. Its a workday and thhey refuse to answer a ticket iwthin a reasonable timeframe.

Your best bet is to use another method if you can. Of course if you're using that iDeal account to charge Paypal then it isn't going to solve anything as the same problems going to persist.

If you can a bank-backed debit card or credit is best.

I dont route payments through third party's such as paypal. I litterally send them two screens of my bank (Including the payment description) on one of those purchases (the one which matters which failed according to them).

iDEAL is not a bank at all.

it is a "product" that is used to make online transactions.

in other words, iDEAL is just a payment platform that is used by the netherlands banks until 2023
