live kernel event 141
My new laptop acer 5 randomly crash , screen go black and audio stops . but nothing happening laptop still running just cant see anything or hear must manually shut down and turn on.
This happening while gaming and not on all games . On some games it happened once in like 100 hours and on some it happening often inconsistently like in 5 or 10 etc.
I have mostly problem in older games . Worst ones are painkiller black edition and oblivion.
Tried to run chdsk, sfc, dism and memory check and repair . GPU and bios is up to date . Also its not overheating i checked.
Still same problem , idk what to do
thanks for any response

Kernel events are usually related to two things software side::

Either your monitor has too much HZ on it or is compatibility issues with your pc. Is this a old monitor? Try upgrading the firmware for it and see if that helps. You can find the firmware usually on the manufacturer's website and put the name in support and see downloads on it.

The other thing is a corrupted driver for your graphics drivers. Try doing a factory reset on your graphics card software and reinstall all the driver updates for it.

Changing the hertz of your monitor is usually easier than doing a factory reset of your graphics card drivers, so try that first.

One other thing i can think of if that your pc is overclocked this also can lead to this issue. Make sure not to overclock to see if that fixes it.

On the hardware side:

Kernel issues could also indicate a hardware issue. But i suggest checking the software side first. It is usually easier to fix software issues alot of times than testing hardware issues. You can find more info here about it:

This can also be bad hardware that is failing, power supply issues, bad ram boards, etc...

There are free programs out in the wild to find if you have power supply issues or ram issues.

I am going to guess that particular laptop is not designed for games. If you post your system information here, it would also be helpful. You can do this by clicking help>System Info> copy it and paste it on here.
