Jaree-ra won't die

Help: I entered the broken oar grotto to fight and kill Jaree-ra, but he is immortal. I think I did this with an "immortal ring" I was wearing when I first met him. I tried the setessentials script, but its not working. I just can't kill him.

Welcome to the general help forum of Steam. If you got questions about the client, the website or Steam features, the users, who hang around here, can maybe help you (and oftentimes more so than Support).

If you do have questions about a specific game, like in this case, this is not the right place however. Look for the option "Discussions" in the library page of the game, this is about, on its shop page, or in its community hub. That will lead you to the Steam forum of that specific game.

i looked on the UESP-Site.

Maybe this can help you:

"Jaree-Ra may attack you on sight after you have liberated Hjaalmarch for the Stormcloaks, or after clearing Fort Hraggstad for the Imperials. Since he is an essential character at this point you can not kill him. Thus your only options are either flee from him or avoid being detected by him. After Solitude has been conquered and thus the civil war has ended, he will revert back to his normal behavior."

If you play the Cicilwar Quest at the same time, maybe there's the problem.
