Steam Overlay not functioning, can't find solution
My steam overlay hasn't been working for a long time now, and I haven't been able to find anything that works. The entire overlay isn't launched at all it seems, since even the fps counter doesn't show up.

Something went wrong while displaying this content. Refresh

Same for about 3 days now, shift+tab and any custom hotkey didn't work, had to mess about to just get the scaling back down as it was giant text before..no mouse works or shows up if a page opens and you have to close the whole game as you've no way to close the pop up page... was fubar

So only solution I found was with war thunder you just change the screen mode from full screen windowed to windowed, then back again and it solved the issue for me.

Don't have much to add, other than the fact I've been getting this problem for something like 3 weeks now as well. Can't take screenshots, can't open the overlay, seems like the whole thing isn't launching regardless of if the setting is turned on or off, or what the hotkeys are set to. Interesting that you mention the FPS counter, I was playing around with that before my overlay broke, and was using it to track my framerate in Dragon's Dogma 2.

I'm curious what your OS is. I'm running this on Linux Mint and had assumed it was a problem with my setup. Maybe not necessarily the case?

I use Windows, so it really seems to be completely random. I really just don't understand what the problem is, since its almost exactly what you're dealing with.

There is 2 option

steam settings then "in game " delete web cache user data

and each own game properties, also has a delete web overlay data.

gl with it.

or contact steam support.
flip beta client on or off, if they have made a hotfix,

Alright, I finally got it to work. It seemed to be my PC not allowing GameOverlay to start, so all I had to do was run the GameOverlayUI as Administrator and that seemed to work. I was thinking way too macro in terms of the scale of problem lol.

Just tried this and it didn't work for me. The search for a solution continues
