inappropriate activity detected starting offline mode (Elden Ring)

I am getting inappropriate activity detected starting offline mode when I try to log into the servers. I tried verifying game integrity and did not work. I am running steam + proton: my operating system is Archlinux. I am not using mods or cheats (which I will never do because what's the point of getting a fromsoftware game without enjoying the challenge.) Please help, any ideas or suggestions will be helpful

Not that I have seen so far. I am not experiencing the issue (haven't ran the game since yesterday) so haven't been keeping up with it.

May want to check those threads though. Someone may have come up with something by now.

Yeah I just found one that seems promising: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1245620/discussions/0/4343239957176418927/?ctp=2 It looks like if I download the dlc, it should "fix it" Furthermore, the dlc has not downloaded the dlc yet so let's see if that fixes it
