Controller issue: Random harsh input lag, followed by random controller disconnections
So I've had this problem with Bluetooth connected controllers I use for steam (I've used both PS5 and Xbox 1) and the same thing keeps happening. I've recently used my controller to play 3 games, Dark souls remastered, Dark souls 3, and GTA V, and all of them have this same issue.

My controller every now and then will start to have really really harsh input lag, like at least a half a second of it or more, then sometimes will follow with my controller disconnecting for like 5-10 seconds, before reconnecting as if nothing happened, or with the same input lag that came before it. Funnily enough, alt-tabbing to another tab then back to the game reverses the controller disconnect most of the time, and that's been my temporary solution.

I've been dealing with this for about a week, and I can't seem to be using my controller for a game for more than 15 minutes without this issue coming up, and have used it for software outside of steam perfectly fine.

Steam input doesn't seem to have any effect, most steam settings changes I've tested out have no effect, and I think I have disconnected and reconnected it about a million times.

I've been stumped on this for too long lol, I have no idea what to do from here.

Make sure the firmware is updated on the controllers. Check the developers website to see if there is any.

Firmware is fully updated, again is also an issue that only seems to pop up on steam

My temporary solution has been just using my controllers wired, and that seems to work just fine.

Yeah. Still doesn't work for me, and is for sure a steam side issue.
