Awards turn into points 14 days after they are awarded.
What the heck are you doing paying real money for useless Internet points anyway?
@OP The only way for someone to receive Steam points is buying games on Steam or receiving awards.
So you bought 10k Steam points, then someone gave you Steam awards worth 10k points.
It takes 14 days after receiving an award before the points will be available to you.
So nothing to do but wait.
Ok thank you very much for helping me i buy them because i have boring profile and getting it for buying games etc. is stupid for a 10k steam points i must spend +/- 100$ on the kinguin you have it for 5$
You can do the same thing on Steam.
Purchase capsules inside CS2, get points, sell the capsules on the Market at a small loss after the 7 day cooldown.
Thousands of points per dollar.
Far more efficient than spending it on games and cheaper than using shady key sites.
You realize you are admitting to violating the SSA in Steam's own discussions? May want to think about that and re-read the SSA.
I would really be wary of using 3rd party sites that help violate it as well. They may decide to do a chargeback on their own payment method and that would remove the awards and points you purchased from the 3rd party as well.
And far less of a risk to one's account as well.
I always forget the reminder.
Thanks!
Further evidence that awards for points was a mistake. Who wants to bet that a good chunk of the jester farmers and "funny reviews" are posted by bot accounts working for these shady key sites? And this would be a great way for the scammers to further monetize hijacked accounts since there's no verification required to send awards.
Remove the points incentive from awards.
No, not at all.
If you get scammed, you're on your own.
Ha! Sites like these are the #1 way people get their accounts hijacked. All third party trading/gambling sites are a scam.
I can imagine where these awards may be coming from
