You have the controller connected before you run the game? and did you look in the game sittings?

Did you test and calibrate the controller from the control panel (XBOX controller is listed there)

If it's not available, install the XBOX 360 drivers and make sure you're using wired connection or Wireless receiver.

Pretty sure MW2 doesn't have controller support on PC.

If that's the case, forget about it.. (unless someone wants to recommend a crappy solution like xinput)

Actually do you know how to access the console in mw2?

Officially? No

It's possible, but not allowed for MW2 and above. Modifications made usually result in a VAC ban for most cases.

Not like it matters considering Punkbuster is little to nothing now.

MW2 and above is secured by VAC, not PB.

I don't give instructions how to receive a VAC ban.

I'm not encouraging anyone to experiment, but I doubt that using programs to remap buttons to a controller will get you a VAC ban. It doesn't seem like it gives you an unfair advantage, and you're not modifying core game files. However, I'm certainly no authority on VAC, so don't take my word as the truth.

Don't forget that we're talking about Activision here. They (And IW) have set up really harsh rules for the PC community, not allowing mods (So they stripped away easy accesss to console, mods , And modified packages that include custom scripts / commands.

Even the FOV unlockers are caught by VAC, and creating modifications for access to what i've mentioned before, it's simply too big of a risk to say what's safe and what's not. So the allround policy around every COD game from MW2 and up -> don't mod/modify anything.

Better safe than sorry.

You think I'm guessing?

Like I said before.. I'm not handing out advice how to get a vac ban.
I don't care if it's working or not. There's advice you can give about console commands and modding in Source games, but for COD MW2 + it's a totally different story.

Maturity, at its finest.
If you want to mod in singleplayer, thats totally fine as it is not VAC secured.
