Star Wars the Old Republic is a free 2 play MMORPG.
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic is a single player Action RPG game based in the Star Wars universe.
Knights of the Old Republic was the former game. Although it's obviously considerably older it's a great, typical, single-player Bioware RPG. It was one of the first western RPGs that really dealt with good and evil stances to somehow affect the outcome or passage of the game.
The reason I describe this is that if you're curious about such RPGs, it's a damned good one to pick up at some point in future.
My personal opinion of the other game - the MMO, the Old Republic - is that it's fine for a short run through in about 30 days or so, but that's about it. So, if you're into trying that, I wouldn't recommend signing up for any long-term subscription plans, however sweet the deal may seem :)
Please note that begging on the forums is not allowed. It doesn't get nice responses usually in any case.
You can afford to buy this game - you can afford a PC and internet after all.
